Best Lightweight Single Stroller
Travel strollers aren't any lighter or more compact than this. Its sleek design makes it easy to fold into a neat rectangle shape and the wheels turn more easily than some other models.
The stroller also comes with an ample storage space under the seat and a shoulder strap to make it easier to carry when you're not pushing it. But the canopy adjustment can cause quite a bit of noise, which could wake a sleepy toddler.
1. Contours Itsy
A compact stroller The Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its small size. The back under-seat basket has a spring loaded mechanism, so you can pull the basket down to place bags for diapers or backpacks and it will then pop up to secure its contents. It also comes with a tray for accessories for children as well as an adjustable reclining seat back pad and a reclining seat back pad, which offer more options than what you usually get on a stroller that is light.
It also has a canopy that can be closed and opened to get the level of sun protection you want. The handlebars can be adjusted in height for a comfortable fit in four different positions. We weren't too impressed by the ride quality on rough surfaces. We were of the opinion that the suspension and wheels did not do a great job of absorbing shocks and bumps.
It's a perfect stroller for traveling because it arrives in a box fully assembled, with just few steps to get it set to use. The seat can be moved forward and backward to adjust the recline, which is pretty much flat. It's easy to fold and unfold thanks to two buttons on the frame. It also fits in a convenient carrying bag for when it's not in use. It's actually one of the smallest strollers we've tested, and it easily fulfills the requirements of most airlines for gate-checking or cabin storage on airplanes. Make sure you make sure to check with your airline prior to when you travel because rules can vary. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus
This stroller is an excellent option for those who require a lightweight travel stroller. It has all of the features that parents want in a stroller. It has all-terrain tires and front suspension for an easy ride. It is also incredibly lightweight with less than 12 pounds. It can be folded by one hand, and then stand up on its own. It even has a child tray and parent tray, each with two cup holders.
Its build quality isn't very good, and it didn't do well in our test of maneuverability. It also has a flexible frame which makes pushing it over rough terrain seem like lifting a huge weight. It is possible that you only use the stroller on paved sidewalks. However, for most people, it's not ideal.
The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy that has an open window that provides additional sun protection. Its multi-positional seat can accommodate children up to 50 pounds and uses a five-point safety restraint. This is an excellent feature for older toddlers who have outgrown infant car seats.
It comes with a single-step and compact folding mechanism that can be collapsed with practically only a click of the button. It also comes with a brake that is triggered by the foot and easy to set and release.
best single buggy is lower than many strollers we've examined, and some parents might feel uncomfortable using it for long periods of time. It does come with a handle lock to keep it in place when opened however. This is a great feature to use the stroller on uneven or gravelly terrain.
3. Munchkin Sparrow
The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate stroller for parents on the go. The stroller is compact and folds down and up easily and fits into the overhead compartments on planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to worry about parking fees). It comes with a convenient zip bag for storage that is easy to carry. It is able to be used from birth using the infant car seat adapter and provides plenty of coverage in the sun thanks to its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only drawback is that some parents find the look to be uninspiring and cheap.
The BabyZen Yoyo+ stroller is more expensive than other lightweight single strollers. However, it was designed specifically for urban living and luxe travel. It's among the easiest strollers to fold (and comes with a handy carry case) and comes with plenty of storage, including the cup holder. The seat is comfortable for the adult and child, and it reclines to a nearly flat position. This is the only stroller on our list that can be used by infants with the car seat adapter. Some parents with shorter legs might not like the handlebar, which does not adjust.
The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it has a ton of amazing features that help kids travel more easily. The spacious seat reclines into an upright position and comes with additional padding to make those plane naps more comfortable. The canopy that extends can provide excellent sun protection, and the tray is spacious with plenty of storage. It also has a footrest with springs that doubles as a handle when folded. This footrest is prone to being damaged by baggage handlers.
4. Uppababy Minu V2
The Uppababy Minu V2 is a premium stroller that doesn't skimp on design or quality. Its compact size allows it to easily navigate narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its robust construction means it can take on rough terrain without compromising your child's safety. The spring-action suspension on the front and back makes for more comfort for your child, and the durable materials ensure that it will stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use. Additionally it can be extended to accommodate additional accessories like baby car seat.
In our tests during our testing, the Minu was easy to fold and move around even with a baby in hand. The squat fold, which opens into three sections, was one of the easiest we tested. This makes it possible to fit easily in overhead compartments in planes and public transport. It also features a color-coded single-action brake that's simple to use.
The seat reclines in multiple positions, and the leg rest can be adjusted using one hand, making it simple to determine your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ canopy lowered quite far to shield Cora's face from the sun. There's also a medium-sized mesh peek-aboo window that closes magnetically and adheres to the canopy instead of using noisy Velcro.
With a weight of just under 15 pounds at just under 15 pounds, the Minu is light enough to carry thanks to its built-in handle and shoulder strap. It can also be put in the trunk of your vehicle. It comes with a storage container and access to the TravelSafe program offered by Uppababy that gives two years to the manufacturer's warranty and covers replacements for damaged items during travel.
5. Joovy Aire
Joovy is an established brand that makes various strollers. This stroller is light and a great option for parents who are looking for a sturdy stroller that can transport their children. It is simple to move, has plenty of storage, and is not difficult to fold. This model isn't suited for those looking for an extra stroller or a car-seat compatible model. It doesn't accept infant car seats. Your children should be able to sit upright on their backs before they can use it.
This stroller comes with some great features, and it comes with a hefty price tag. It earned a higher score in our review of maneuverability than some other models with similar specs, and it's a great option for smooth pavements. It comes with a large parent tray, canopy and plenty of storage. The front wheel suspension is a little stiff and the handlebar is smaller than the norm, but it offers a comfortable ride for adults.
If you have twins, or two children of different ages you may discover a side by side stroller to be the best choice to take them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove. It has a lot of features and is small in size which means it can be placed into places where other side-byside strollers can't.
It has a large canopy that has a peek-aboo view and plenty of storage. It's a bit heavier than some other side-by-sides, but it has a decent capacity for weight and can accommodate most children weighing up to 50lbs. You can add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller for newborns.
If you are looking for a more luxurious version of this stroller the Caboose RS Sit and Stand Stroller is a great alternative. It comes with the same great features as this model and comes with a bassinet to allow you to bring your child home from the hospital in fashion.
